Joanna Danks

Joanna leads strategic communications for the Pohlad Family Foundation, guiding the messaging and engagement strategies that advance the Foundation’s mission and its commitment to housing stability and racial justice. She partners closely with community members and leadership to create meaningful opportunities for connection and philanthropic engagement.

She brings more than 20 years of experience in mission-driven communications and marketing strategy demonstrated in roles at the Minnesota Historical Society, Mia, and Penumbra Theatre. Joanna holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and remains active in the community through board and volunteer service.
