
Jim Pohlad

Jim Pohlad is Executive Chair of the Minnesota Twins. He handed day-to-day Twins operations over to Joe Pohlad in 2022 but continues to be involved as the Control Owner, serving as the club’s primary liaison with Major League Baseball. Jim is also the Chair of the Pohlad Investment Committee and serves on several committees for Major League Baseball.
Jim began his career in public accounting after graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in accounting, and he is also a certified public accountant. He joined the family business in 1979 and worked with Marquette Financial Companies in addition to his other leadership roles with the Minnesota Twins.
Through his role on the board of the Pohlad Family Foundation, Jim is engaged in programs that work to reduce disparities among families and youth experiencing homelessness in the Twin Cities. In past years, he has supported and provided leadership to the Twin Cities United Way, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Greater Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce, The Minneapolis Foundation and Park Nicollet Health Services and Melrose Institute.
