Grant amount: $20,000
Program/project summary: To identify improvements to the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency COVID-19 Housing Assistance Program (CHAP) process. With agency staff and other subject matter experts (including CHAP Applicants), we will concisely define equity-related strengths and
opportunities for improvement.

Organization: Foster Advocates
Grant amount: $20,000
Program/project summary: Gather a group of LGBTQIA+ fosters from across the state to participate in a paid human-centered design (HCD) and participatory action research (PAR) process to help fully understand the experiences of LGBTQIA+ fosters and gather culturally-specific ideas and solutions to address needs and opportunities to better serve this population.

Organization: Mapping Prejudice Project at the University of Minnesota
Grant amount: $100,000
Program/project summary: Expand research efforts on discriminatory housing policies and practices into Ramsey County and engage the public with reported findings.

Organization: New Rules
Grant amount: $325,000
Program/project summary: Acquire Bell Lofts in north Minneapolis and structure the process to update the building to be a commercial – retail incubator with living and work spaces to reflect the needs of its community. This project will be catalytic by informing our design process as we prototype solutions for future use on how we use spaces differently at the intersection of progressive social change & restorative economics.

Program/project summary: Evaluate processes and outcomes of the Hennepin County Emergency Assistance Redesign and implement the Resident Feedback Tool centering the voice of the community in systems redesign.
